Shpresa Faqi is a contemporary European artist. Her works are an expression of her documentary approach, which explores how the inside affects the outside and vice versa. They are touching in their depth and richness, characterized by fine lines, intense colour and sound moods and aesthetic atmosphere. Shpresa Faqi's art makes movement and growth perceptible.
Her repertoire ranges from drawings to medium and large-format murals, processed found objects and industrial products to site-specific projector installations. She creates individual works as well as linked installations, mobile art projects and interactive workshops. The materials she uses are varied, including ink, acrylic, oil, varnish, paper, canvas and electronic media.
Her feminine creativity is fueled by self-confidence, perseverance and assertiveness. She finds inspiration in the conscious approach to extraordinary, extreme conditions and situations at the limit, w hose impact she channels and creatively expresses.
The central values of her work are empathy, honesty, transparency and wisdom, followed by the aesthetic flow of life, love and the spirit. Shpresa Faqi's art moves along the spectrum of contemporary art, pop art and sacred art and is inspired by classical models from Leonardo Da Vinci to Andy Warhol. She more than lives up to her claim of using art to create living objects with body, mind and soul that exist independently of herself.
